Granny's gone and done it again

You can get non breaded okra in the frozen food case sometimes. That cooks well with fresh tomatoes and onions. That may be a lot better than the canned okra and tomatoes.
Rarely see okra here in the stores. Frozen would be best.
 
My first big tomatoe. 😛 I'm having a tomatoe sandwich soon. :)

You may try and grow a few hills for some fresh. A small pack of Clemson Spineless would supply more that you would probably need. Okra loves hot weather.

Still have an hour before I dare start making rounds. It's still going to be hot but maybe not a blast furnace like earlier.
Still feels like 95° here. I will wait a while before i go back out.

I love fried okra cant eat the boiled. too slimy for me!
It's actually a little crunchy when cooked with tomatoes. Tomatoes are the acid that nullifies the slick base of okra. Onion in it has no impact.

Real feel here is 106° still.

around here its tomatoes okra and corn.
Did you go out in that heat? Thats terrible.
