How much can you get for your pullets. We just took some that were eating eggs. Only got about 12 bucks apiece.

These are young, common breeds. I would charge $15 for them at a local swap. Could get more at a big event. But i sell polish for a lot more.

People are just dumping dogs left and right here. It is disgusting. Some beautiful dogs also. Full blooded German shepherd, huskies, Siberians. Of the gamut of pit bulls and those annoying chihuahuas.

Because they are between a rock and a hard place. Shelters full. Dog food stupid expensive. Everything going up stupid fast. I don't condone it, but i understand that people are getting desperate.

Even when hubs and I were there…there were at least three families surrendering.

It’s so sad. And at kahoots they were doing a drive for pet food - a program that works with meals on wheels and the lady and I were talking and she was saying how she hated asking people for money since she’s working 50 hours a week and barely making it. I get it. I totally get it.

Our mailbox is filled some days with mostly people asking for donations. Good charities but we have the ones we choose and do not short them because another good one comes along.

It got up to 100° here today and I didn't find out that I was out in it until I came in dripping like a busted pipe line. What I did had to be done anyway. I and the chickens have survived another day.

There is another chance we may lose power again this afternoon. Radar is showing a violent storm coming in on us in a half hour or maybe a little longer. It covers a wide area and it is almost impossible for it to miss us.

Howdys all, rough day so far. SD came and ate with us. It was a good visit. My feet are hurting so bad though I couldnt really enjoy the company.

Not a great day here either. I am taking care of the sick goat. Stressed over that. Tired from not enough sleep and a stiff neck. Can't get outside chores finished, glad i got the barnyard done. It is raining out there!
