Hubby has been having vertigo for several days. Today he had a regular check up. Now he is in the ER waiting for some tests to be run. Last night we moved his recliner into his bedroom so he could sleep in there sitting up. I knew something was going on. He's been gone a long time.
I can soo relate. I'm so sorry. I hope they can figure it out with it being a simple explanation. Sometimes in the past I would end up in the ER to find out my potassium was so low I was 2 points away from being hospitalized. My Magnesium was usually low too. I now have to take those huge potassium pills and Magnesium every day. Good luck. ❤️

Hope he gets home soon. Vertigo is not fun. I was so glad when it didn't take another med but a little PT and it was gone. I had never heard to crystals in the ears before. Little gyroscopes I call them now. Any way one treatment and mine were spinning ok again.
I get them often..now do my own epley maneuver when I can tell its different from my Vestibular Migraines.

He tried those exercises and it doesn't help him. The doctors can't agree on what the problem is. One thinks it's cardiac. Sigh.
He may go through all the testing like I have. You name it, I've had it. Finally..years layer..an ENT put a name to it. Between a medication and The Steady Coach, I have better days. Stress brings me down to horrible vertigo. I know this, I try not to, but hey, life can be stressful at times.

I got mine fixed with one treatment. I didn't believe it would work. It didn't make any sense to me until the PT explained what all was going on. I knew that vertigo came from the inter ear. I just could not for the life of me see what a PT was doing to fix it. One thing is for sure and that is medicine is not an exact science.
Epley Maneuver. Easy to do yourself. My left ear has one come loose often. Can come with age.
