We raised the bottom of a coup up high enough I don't have to bend over to reach into it.

Not yet. Maybe this afternoon. It's not culling. These are young roosters we raise for food for us. We wanted fryers but now they are dumpling boys. To old for fryers now. Heath issues put a slow down on harvesting them. I have 2/3 of them in a coop now. They were all running loose until I started catching them last night when they roosted.

I thought culling meant killing? I understand you raised them for meat. I wish I had me a couple to clean for the pot. They make the best broth!

Culling actually means eliminating some that are not performing like they should or aren't good for laying or they just don't make the grade. They might be sold or used for meat. Not always killed. All of mine make the grade if I needed a rooster but I need meat and that was their intended purpose.
