That's one of Greenfire Farms brood hens. I so want a pen of those next year.

Maybe the half gallon or so of coffee I drank today had and effect? Skipping noon meds possibly had something to do with no nap.

I need first aid. One of my biggest roosters pecked between my fingers drawing blood. I wasn't getting the feed in the feeder fast enough for him. That's not a reason to eat me.

He's as big as a small turkey. I think he has become a status symbol. He is a gentle slow moving soul. He is a year old today. That's a long long life for a Cornish x Rock hybrid.

They come strait run. I suspect in my location and the visibility I have I could sell most of the roosters and pets for people. They are people friendly.

I'm not to far from Greenfire Farms and wish I could pick up my investment at the gate rather than let the post office bounce them around for a couple of days to travel a couple of hundred miles.
