I can't take strong pain pills. I've gone ahead and gotten them after surgeries, but didn't use them. I save them also. The hard pill can last years. Liquid pills not so long.

Sometimes I only take half a pill, rather than getting knocked out. But, when you need pain pills you don't want to wait days or weeks for them.
