Granny's gone and done it again

I had one twenty years ago or more and it always baked the crust too much. Hard to cut.
I brush butter on the tops of my loaves, Pert, then cover them with a clean dish towel overnight. In the morning they're nice and soft, easy to slice. They don't sweat under the towel but cool off gradually and are ready to go into a plastic bag.

we hit the middle 50's today.
We hit 80!

tomorrow evening. IF your good. ;)
I'm very good! (At baking bread anyway. Got two more orders today: foccacia for Friday snd dinner rolls for Thanksgiving!)

What's creeping me out is thehorse head on the cow on the right. 😳.

Did I have to say..or write.. that I was a bit sick last night? I should have knocked on wood. :( It's worse. Still not as bad as I usually get, but bad enough that I feel .. yuck. :(
Sorry you don't feel well, Cynthia.

My wish is that we could all gather together for thanksgiving. I would serve this!

Better start cooking that lamborkeef NOW.

Heavy thunderstorms in the area, not unheard of, but quite unusual for the time of year here.
Where is "here," Troyer? In general?

Seems like our weather is unusual in a lot of different areas. :(
That's the truth! If it weren't so humid and green, it would feel a lot like New Mexico here lately. And I am NOT complaining! 😄
