I don't mind them here as a lot of the trees are going for pine shavings for our chicken coops. We have 10's of millions of acres of long leaf pines and as they thin them down we get shavings for coops as well as the broiler industry. I know people hate the broiler industry but love to eat out with wings on the menu.

Ozark Border, our local electric co., is trimming trees in our area again. I've got them dumping chips in my yard, yay! We already have a small mountain. It's been a couple years since we got chips from them. We've used the chips in the past to mark the edge of our property where the forest begins, we've heard a 3' border helps keep the tick population down. We put a border around a flower garden to keep weeds down and made a trail or path around and through the beds. The chips are mostly pine but there is some cedar and oak as well. The chickens don't seem bothered by it as they scratch in it.

They were supposed to leave my chips when they cut my trees down. Neighbor got them. The trees they did chop and removed the stumps are about 6 ft tall already.

it was this year, Invasive pears, red bud, a couple shrubs
