Oh sorry, got busy and forgot about checking the weather. So ... if we get snow, it won't start till Friday evening and continue through Saturday. It's 27° here now and not supposed to warm up for a while, so travel might get tricky.

Have you heard of Shamo chickens? A rooster would be taller than Legs, but not better looking.
I got to hold a bantam version, called KoShamo. Small bird, but felt like a brick! So hefty. It was at the same poultry show h2o will be going to this month, but about 8 or 9 yrs ago.

I've heard of them but never seen a live one. I think Legs is on track to reach 10-12 lbs. He has a frame and is dense. His feathers lay flat like a Dark Cornish bird does.

That describes Pi, although his energy comes in fits and starts. He's a sprinter. But his cuddle skills are expert level!
