Some will be viable. Handling by the postal workers I think is the worst part of the trip.

I had a woman send me chicks twice that didnt make it both times. They got "lost" I tracked them down at 3am and convinced a woman to open the box and give them water. I will never forget her and the steps she went to risking her job to save them. I ended up with one after all the shipping stress and got a refund on them from the seller. I said never again will I order chicks thru the mail

Morning all, Slept til 8 so a good rest for me. @Cynthia12 How are things going today? Any news? Did you go to the dr for your results?
I hope everything you get today is good news. Lots of people praying for you and Richard.

Yes..good and not so good news..good news..Richard's foot looks better today. Says he'll be getting wound care weekly until it's well. Now some other news. His blood sugar was a bit high. Going to check for diabetes. Glad they caught that. Thank you for all the prayers. He still has a lot to go through, so keep praying. He will get wound care until it is well. He had burned his bottom once really bad years ago when he was still home with us. It took me and the drs months to get him well. He is pretty much paralyzed from the waist down but there's no feeling at all from the knees down, especially feet. The water may not have even been that hot..but hot enough to burn that little foot. Our water gets way hot hete at my place! I don't mind it. Oh, and yes..this is my son with Spina Bifida with Myelomeningocele.

My visit with Dr. You get a rating from 1 to 4 on how bad things look in there. I'm a 3. Tearing, ripping, and fraying going on. Options. Try the gel. Can't remember the name of it. Or go in get it polished out which could last a few years. That takes out tears and fraying. Hmm..wouldn't that lead to, bone on bone? Or, go ahead and get a full knee replacement because he says that's what I'll end up needing. I'm trying the gel first if ins will pay for it. Just had a daughter that had a full knee replacement. She said her insurance wouldn't pay for the gel. I don't get insurance companies. So, takes months to get into a surgeon for a consult. I made one with a guy that is considered really good here. I have three nurses and an Orthopedic therapist in the family/kids. They all like this guy. March 21st. He will decide what is best. In the meantime I'm hoping the gel works. My daughter that had her knee done said she had talked to others that had it, and it didn't work. Makes sense. The steroid shot I got sure didn't. Dr says..sometimes they work but didn't make any promises. So, walking on the front of my foot with knee bent. Keeps it from buckling. Heat~ice. Meds..Ibuprofen. They tried getting me a knee brace, didn't have one that fit. Thinking at this point it would be quite helpful. Will have to buy one. Keeping me from buckling would be nice. I've had some close calls of falling. You all are great. I appreciate the prayers and thoughts.

Brought my big boy in for a bit tonight for some holding and talking time. He sat perfectly still and acted like he understood every word. He was really happy about the selfie I took but he didn't try and make a break for it. He is a beast and not 7 months old yet. I've got to get him outside in good light for this so his gorgeous colors will come out right.

These were eggs to hatch. I've ordered hundreds through the mail with a bad experience on one batch from a smaller breeder that later I found had bad ratings and one other batch that could have been partly my fault on my end. Overall I will order to get what I have to from certain distant hatcheries that are the only way to get them. One box of 25 in July of this year is planned. They will be shipped from a place in MO and I won't worry about them. They have a very good reputation. What you have to watch for is getting from a hatchery that can ship on Monday or Tuesday. I feel uneasy with Wednesday shipments.
