Granny's gone and done it again

We've got a big ol storm going on right now. Way windy. I saw that our garbage bin is tipped over. We're on advisory. Bronwyn's brother came over at about 4:00. He's still here, thinking now he'll have to spend the night. He lives about 50 minutes away.

the worst part is under my breast. Them girls sure have been taking a beating lately.
Mine get squished tomorrow. I'm glad it's time for this. I've been having some familiar pain in the left side. Had a big tumor removed years ago.

Wish I could run right on over. I'd bring you some of my meatloaf..if you like that. :)
It sometimes feels as if we're close enough neighbors to be able to do just that, doesn't it? The internet sure has seemed to have shrunk the world! We can hang out and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, or a beer or glass of wine together... and almost forget the distances between us. ❤️

All this talk of food, lol. I cooked some frozen Angus burgers on the stove for dinner. They weren't bad. Made sandwiches, pretty good. I made hummus today too so I will have a healthy protein snack when I get the munchies. Need to wash eggs tomorrow, will hard-cook a dozen or so, another protein. DH likes one every morning for breakfast, I often have one for lunch. Got 9 eggs today, the girls are doing pretty well.
You make make hummus? 😛

I'm thankful I got a few things planted. It does take it out of me.
I planted a little mint garden a couple years ago, right by the house, and it's fenced so the chickens can't get to it. Every spring I harvest a bunch of the leaves and dry them in the food dryer and put them up in jars. And that's about all the gardening I can manage, between my lack of energy and the chickens taking over the big garden ... if I try to start a garden I poop out mid- summer and it goes to weeds. I hope this year to really do well with the lilies, though! I hope we got them in the ground soon enough.
