Granny's gone and done it again

I had a broody hen hatch a double yolker, it was her own egg. I knew it was a double yolker when she went broody, but decided to let her try it. She was brooding eight eggs and ended up with nine chicks. They were both cockerels and stuck together from the very first, they were almost identical in looks and temperament. Their mother was a broiler and the sire was a dark Cornish.

I'm putting a Dark Cornish Rooster on 6 Cornish Cross roasting hens. Those grew up better than the Jumbo Cornish Cross with few problems. They take about 2 weeks longer to reach the same size as the Jumbos.

We fired up the Weber grill for birthday lunch with sirloin steak, country style ribs, & chicken thighs. Green peas , rice and tomato gravy, and a nice Grands biscuit. Can't eat the steak or rib as is. Going to use the steak in some Beef Ramen noodles cut into small chunks and the ribs in Spanish Rice flavor of Rice Roni.

howdys, quiet here today. I had to go get Fawn a plastic e collar and she hates it. Poor baby. Robert is insisting she wear it. It is freezing here and my coat wont zip. Robert offered to get me one til he seen they were over $100. for the one I liked. Anyway, they dont have my size. No where we went had my size. Including goodwill. sadness.

Well, after she ate the nice one I seen her licking herself and she found the stitches and was pulling on one.
Its good to be afraid of guns. That just means you will show them the respect they need to be handled.
