I am taking a gun safety class in two weeks. I will be getting my first gun soon. Guns scare me to death.

I got used to guns in my first marriage. Went hunting a lot back then. We ate deer, elk, pheasant, Grouse, more. I've shot a lot of different guns. When Scott passed I kept my favorite and a nice 22. My favorite being an 30-06..or as some say, thirty-aught-six. Love that gun. When I married Scott and he took me out shooting for the first time the aught 6 was what I shot first with him. He was shocked that I hit what he told me to across this small canyon area. I told him, I had shot before, many times. Like I said, kept that gun. Gave the kids the others, including some nice handguns, which I don't care to shoot but have. Some with some pretty big kick to them. Have fun with it. You'll learn to like it. Especially when you start hitting the center of your target.

Nothing helps me to stop.I feel like Ive tried it all. Closest thing was the meds I was allergic to.

I assume you mean stop coughing not stop smoking. I haven't coughed after one dose of ma's private stock med. Honey, Lemon Juice, & some Hard Whiskey. Equal parts I think. A couple of tablespoons full worked and not enough alcohol in it to conflict with my Trammadol.

Granny if nothing else sip on some Apricot or Peach Brandy. I prefer the Apricot but sometimes peach is all I can find. Did that out in MO decades ago. Not much since.

my eldest turned 43 today.

And mine turned 48 the day after Christmas!

Didn't watch the news but did get on the scales and was glad I did. Another 25 lbs down and I will justify a new closet of clothes. All my belts are so big I can't tighten this now with out adding another hole. Time to get the ice pick out.

Aww, a blast from the past. From my last group. Then things started getting bad with Scott. Had to give up my chickens. Plus my health started waning. Glad I'm not having to go out to take care of them through all of this snow though. I do feed the little wild ones.

My daughter will turn 50 in June. My baby, Austin turned 30 last September. Where does the time go????

Congrats on the weight loss, but ... ice pick? Buy yourself a leather punch, they're not expensive.
