I assume you mean stop coughing not stop smoking. I haven't coughed after one dose of ma's private stock med. Honey, Lemon Juice, & some Hard Whiskey. Equal parts I think. A couple of tablespoons full worked and not enough alcohol in it to conflict with my Trammadol.

Humph, my scale lied to me and I thought I'd lost 10 lbs until I went to the dr office. And it's digital, too!

Didn't watch the news but did get on the scales and was glad I did. Another 25 lbs down and I will justify a new closet of clothes. All my belts are so big I can't tighten this now with out adding another hole. Time to get the ice pick out.

Is it because you've been sick, and the broken ribs ya think?

Granny if nothing else sip on some Apricot or Peach Brandy. I prefer the Apricot but sometimes peach is all I can find. Did that out in MO decades ago. Not much since.

Don't use a med then. Start counting how many you smoke a day and smoke one less each day. Cold turkey works for some I know. At least 2 members of my family did it. 1 Aunt and 1 uncle.

Granny we grew up hooked on sweet syrupy tea. The one day we started using a tablespoon less of sugar per pitcher brewed each week. After a month or so we could not drink it the old way. That might just be what would work for you. The math says it will but no one knows before they try.

You don't drink as in real drinking. A sip 3-4 times a day is only a tablespoon full at most. No worse than Nyquil. Maybe a lot better. I can't drink either on Pain Management and I don't. Very few things I've ever like that had alcohol in them. Strawberry Daiquiri and Pina Colada. Both come in a 4 pack now like the wine coolers do. It's been a long time since I've had one.

The Sapphire Gem pullets seem to be pretty fearless and even friendly. When we go out to the brooder, they all rush toward us while the Prairie Bluebells still hang back. One of the Gems sat on DH's hand while he put the fresh jar of water in the brooder this morning. We've never had such friendly or forward chicks before! He says he finally had to shoo her off or she would still be there, lol. Oh I DO hope that doesn't mean she is NOT a she!
