Thank you, Loyal Subject. Actually I only just got my crown earlier today.

mom tried using half milk and 1l2 powered and then put it back in the "real" milk carton. Took her forever to get rid of that dry/powered milk. No one was fond of it.

My mom did this too, but to be even more frugal, she didn't mix it according to the instructions. She used about half the recommended amount of powdered milk.

Poor Ashton. His hands are so sore. Has sores in his mouth too. He holds his hands up like a little puppy dog in front of him. He's been such a trooper through it all. Mom gives him Benadryl to help him rest. Works well along with a cold rag for his hands. His fever finally broke this morning. It's been low grade the last couple of days but normal today. He's had a fever since Monday.

Oh my goodness! I just saw Ashton for the first time today. Was going by what Bronwyn said this morning..fever breaking. He's got the blisters now. His poor thumbs are almost purple with big blisters too. His hands are all I'm seeing..blisters..and his mouth. He's got a big ol sore in his mouth. This boy has a high tolerance fir pain. He's smiling and being so sweet. Bless his heart.
