Granny's gone and done it again

I think I may get a haircut and maybe go to Walmart tomorrow. Supposed to be a fairly nice day. Want to get more barn cleaning done too.
Got my hair cut last week. Rain started last night and will go all day, turn to snow tonight, then more rain and snow for the next few days. The only hard thing for me is the dogs. I dry them the best I can when they come in, then keep them in the kitchen to dry more. Be careful out there.

Granny. Shopping. Granny happy. I hope. She said she felt like today was going to be a good day. Hope it was Granny!! Now, what should I do today? Dust. I need to dust. Then after I've rested I'll go to our little neighborhood Walmart. Do a bit of shopping. It's quite close to us. You would never know it to see where our home is sitting. I like it being close.

It's going well. There were some loggers logging the woods on the property we're renting so that was interesting. The base of one of the maple trees close to the house was slightly over four feet in diameter and cut to eight feet in length. The skidsteer they used to load the logs onto the trailer for hauling the logs to the sawmill wasn't able to lift the log so he had to roll it to the trailer then lift it one end at a time onto the trailer.
That's a shame to cut down a nice big tree.

I got a short nap in after morning meds. Can't skip them like I used too. Now I'm going out to work on a run for the Dark Cornish Coop. Y'all behave until you get all the worldly problems solved on paper.... I am just going to solve my run problems with all of my coops. Need a glass of cranberry juice. About those vaccines. l have my pneumonia and flu and tetanus up to date. It's just the Covid that I don't get. Had enough. Local docs are not pushing them anymore from what they have heard and witnessed.

That’s smart
I guess in some ways it is smart for my kid to find out what's the least he has to do to pass a class, but it's not honorable IMO. I think we should always do our best and strive to excel. And he certainly should bc the college he wants to go to doesn't want slackers, they want achievers. He won't get an excellent recommendation from that teacher for certain.

It makes us sad too, it was such a nice shade tree. They were only able to use the bottom first eight feet. all the rest will now be firewood. My opinion is that it was worth more as a shade tree than it'll ever be worth as lumber because the center was punky. Only the outer eight inches will make useable lumber.View attachment 3738946View attachment 3738945
If that tree was pithy in the center it's probably well that it was taken down, lest it break or fall down in a storm. We had one taken down near our house and it was rotten clear down to the ground.

That's a shame to cut down a nice big tree.
If it's not healthy it's best to remove it.

Yes. We took an oak down close to our house in TN. Carpenter ants had hollowed the heart wood out clear to the ground. I saw them coming and going through a hole with black goo coming out.

Grannys gone and done it again. Yup, fell on a bunch of rocks. Landed on my hind end and left arm. Re injured my ribs of course cause why not?
Come home and told Tom. He said Well. I almost fell twice. 9.6 for sympathy there. I went to check myself in the mirror and there were so many wrinkles on my ass I couldnt see bruising.
