Granny's gone and done it again

How did you get into yaks, Twist? And how long ago? Why not cattle or even bison? Do you eat yak?

can't justify raising cattle on only 40 acres. You can keep 3 yaks on the same amount of land as a single beef/dairy cow. Bison the fencing is problematic, and they have NOT been domesticated long enough. Yaks have been domesticated for 1,000's of years. Also, I don't like bison meat.
 
Comet had calved twice before I got her. She was born 2010.

Hailey (2016 model) her daughter just had number 7 in a row. Hailey had her first at about 25 months old. She was also the first heifer born on the place.
sounds like a good blood line
