She kept saying she couldn't brlieve we would go that for for her chicks, lol. We ended up with 16. I only planned to get 12 but she insisted we take extras. Such a sweetie. Really liked her.

Ummm... well I just wanted some pretty blue (lavender) chickens that lay pretty blue eggs. But since I can't keep so many I'll have to try to sell some . And ... honestly now I'm interested in breeding these, they are so pretty. Can I get them to breed true? Establish a new breed? Hmmm.

The blue gene is a mixed bag. Read up on Blue Andalusian. Only a fraction are blue... A blue rooster and a blue hen can have other colors in chicks.

I'm somewhat aware. But this rooster, over blue Ameraucana hens (pb) and blue EE hens, produced all these chicks, and has done so, clutch after clutch after clutch. Some have faint barring, like their sire, some are solid. But all, ALL, are this lovely lavender.
