Granny's gone and done it again

I'm going nuclear on the fire ants in the garden. Not many things to use on them in a garden but I have the one I now and trust. It's hard to kill the queen but it will kill the queens army.
I thought there was some powder or granules you sprinkle on the ground that the workers take down into the colony and feed to the queen and it kills her. Snick, snack, no queen, no colony. I don't remember the name of it, I haven't had to deal with ants in years.

Our figs are very late this year usuallybymemorial day they are ripe
Wow, must be nice. We are a long way from having figs.

On our way to town this morning, GirlChild and I had to stop and pull half an oak tree off the road. Here's what's left standing of the tree, it was about half rotted inside anyway. There's another, smaller tree nearby that's about half pulled up from its roots. I'll have to call a relative to come cut it down before it comes down on somebody's car.

Is it on your property?

Yes but you can't use it around food crops.
