Granny's gone and done it again

After looking at the weather if we do get a thunderstorm during the night the rest of the okra will not get planted until at least Friday and maybe on Saturday. Mid 90's by day and mid 60's by night. At least the okra and sweet potatoes like it but the tomatoes and beans don't. If it gets much hotter the sweet corn will not pollinate very well.

Darn. My Gracie just had another seizure. I was trying a half of pill because she's so lethargic by night. Guess I'll go back to a whole. :(
Sorry to hear that, Cynthia.
Our Shepherd probably has a urinary infection, the pee was just leaking out of her as she slept. Going to the vet in the morning.

Poor thing! Hope she gets cleared up quickly.

I picked and ate some peas today, too bad hubby doesn't like them, lol.
Oh man! If I had fresh peas I would be more than tickled if nobody else liked them! More for me! 😆 I grew some when I was in PA years ago, SO good! :drool

Black snakes are actually good to have around. If, you can spare an egg here and there. They keep Copperhead snakes at bay if you have those around. Black rat snakes are extremely beneficial since they eat large amounts of rats, mice, and other pest animals. Farmers appreciate having snakes around for this reason.
Unfortunately, they don't take "an egg here and there." The last time I killed one it had at least four eggs in it, and I was losing three or four eggs a day when I only had eight hens. I have been losing several eggs a day due to today's snake. They can go eat rats and mice somewhere else. :smack
