The rain stopped long enough I unloaded and distributed feed to the needy coops. Kids will not go hungry on my watch.

Didcshow you guys my Eastern Redbud this year? I'm afraid it's dying. When the leaves started coming out, we could see a lot of bare branches. Austin clipped a lor of the lower branches off. Hoping it gives it a better chance. If this tree dies, I already know what I want to put in it's place. A light pink dogwood. Our neighbor just planted the white flower one. So pretty. But, they have small fruit..the light pi k supposedly doesn't. Here was my tree this spring. Scott planted it. I hope it's OK.

I planted two semi dwarf crab apples and just started to pay attention two them. Got them fertilized so maybe they will start growing. I do like those small canned spicy crap apples. I did get every tree that produces a nut or fruit fertilized including two large pecans. The CoOp sells commercial pecan tree fertilizer so that is what I used. It has a lot of zinc in it. The rain we got today should help all of our trees.

Granny I went overboard on lunch today. A fried egg sandwich with 2 eggs and a slice of American cheese. I can rest until 4pm now. To wet to mow. Not turning the coops out until we go out at 4pm.

If they bag one they have to field dress it and then finish skinning and cutting up into wrapping size parcels. Work.

Years ago I hunted deer for table food and did it with a total of 3. I think a part time sideline job is more beneficial in saving money for food. You can choose a lot of different foods instead of just that venison and deer summer sausage.

I think that I might be able to get a 2 hour nap in before chore time. So far I've never went in to a Gilligan type of nap that lasted for months instead of a 2 hour cruise.

Took my Bella in for her vaccines today. $139. Will take Cooper in next week. Then Gracie in the week after, plus Bella needs her teeth cleaned. $315. So around 750 dollars this month for all three. They're worth it. Hopefully Cooper or Gracie's teeth are OK. I don't think we'll bother with Gracie's teeth. She's going through enough. Did talk to him about her still having seizures. I told him I'll finish this medication..around two a half weeks worth..but if she's still seizing I'm just going to stop it. He shook his head yes.

Have had plenty of deer..that elk was tasty! Ate a lot of deer steak and rump roasts. Jerky was great.
