We have one we hatched here that had rather sit with us than be outside playing with his coop mates. We also had a little pullet come to me and look up. I picked it up and talked to it a bit and put it down and tried to walk off. It followed me and got right in front of me looking up at me. No matter how many times I picked it up and put it on the roost it came right back to me. Does this make me a chick magnet?

I suspect the latest self made pet might be a daughter of our Honey pet hen.

BTW Honey is laying again. By Saturday I may can get started on a new coop for her and Flopsie so when she does go broody maybe she will take a liking to her chicks next time.
