Granny's gone and done it again

Any good stories about your adoption experience?
It wasn’t really anything particularly spectacular lol my dad called me one day and told me he adopted me a dog, the same day and same phone call that he told me my mom had fallen (that’s a whole separate, long story) so it was kind of a rollercoaster of emotions. Anyway, I got sent some pictures of the puppies and we went to pick him up I think either the next day or day after that. I thought I was going to get to choose from a couple based on getting sent multiple pics but instead I get there and Brew was essentially thrust into my arms 🤣 in a good way lol I think they might have asked if I wanted male or female, I can’t remember. But yeah. And the one I thought I might want was leaving with another family when we pulled in. But I’m glad he was thrust into my arms because he is the best dog I’ve ever had lol soooooo yeah. That was three years ago in March. He was born roughly January 11th we think. I got him at 9 weeks old.

You got him at a nice age so you can train him your way and you don't have to worry about anxiety because he was abused.

Exactly!!! And he was so easy to train. Extremely smart and driven lol
I took my puppies on a walk at Longs Park today. There's lots of squirrels and birds, other dogs who are very well socialized, woods, a creek shallow enough for them to wade in. It's their favorite place. Around my neighborhood most people have big dogs that bark and jump on their fences. My puppies have been so scared of dogs until I started taking them to the park. Now they even sniff noses with big dogs.
