Granny's gone and done it again

Had a panic attack today. Haven't had one of those in years. Too much going on I guess.
Bought a fridge yesterday. Ordered it from Lowes. Thought we had the measurements right. Measured again when home because we knew there was going to be extra inches in depth for the one we chose. Thought no big deal. We'll, the height was off too. Had to go back this morning and cancel. More to the story, but ..between Gracie and this and something else..I lost it. Forgot how scary those things are. Austin asked if I needed to go to the hospital, no, I knew what it was. Crazy stuff.
How is Gracie doing? I didn't always comment, but I've been reading. It's is so very heart breaking that you must experience this. Hard to put in words what Gracie does for you.... ❤️...pure love. I pray your day is going better

No, they will say, "Let's schedule you for surgery." Oh you mean, injuring yourself in the first place. Well, phht. It's not like you were skateboarding!

Mmmmmmaybe. It was already developing that bright red aura around it. It's just spreading. Like crazy! And I haven't touched it since that once. So .... 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks, I've been to the doctor! TWICE. I thought it was a spider bite - two, actually - right off. She says it would be black, necrotic, stinking and oozing if it was a brown recluse bite. And it's not. They took blood to test me for every tick-borne disease known to man. But no results yet. I appreciate everyone's concern. :hugs

Thank you so much! This is probably why it's not getting worse! It's just so ... weird. It looks horrible, but it doesn't hurt. The poison ivy is bothering me much worse, tbh!
I had a spider bite me on the back of my arm once. I had an appointment with my allergist at the time and he took one look at it and said 'spider bite. Spider bites always have two holes' Danged thing swelled my arm double.

Glad it isn't a BR. My brother had one that put him in the hospital. Almost lost his foot so yeah, they be nasty.

Nope, no skateboarding. I was riding my dirt bike....:lau Which I was also doing when I hurt my ribs but that incident wasn't my fault. This one was my bad. Missed a trail, slammed on my brakes, lurched forward and felt as though somebody was trying to rip my arm off. Doubt if he would be too sympathetic this time around. It is slowly improving though so I'm hoping that by the time I have to see him again in the fall it'll be healed enough that he won't be too upset with me. I'll just tell him to look at it this way, I'm guaranteeing him job security.

Seriously though, that wound isn't looking good. IMHO I agree. Another trip to either an ER or your doc is warranted. Whatever chomped down on you was dead serious about doing you some bodily harm.

The Last Battle

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this — the last battle — can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.

We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close — we two — these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

@Cynthia12 I am sorry for your loss. Yes, I know the pain. I have had to do this a couple times thru the years with my beloved pets. They were a part of my family and a part of me left with them. Shadow I had for around 18 yrs. and My Star for at least 12. I miss them still but I know I did the right thing just as you have. Roberts therapy cat Dipskit we had for 12 I believe Hard to remember now.
