Robert got my cushion with the tail end cut out and wrapped it in plastic to water proof it for my chair. Keeping my fingers crossed

Granny. I don't know what to say. It hurts me that you're suffering so. The instructions you got for taking care of Tom's sores ... you need to do the same for you. I just can't imagine how painful that must be, that you're actually bleeding. Have Nancy get you some of those things they use in the hospital, like puppy pee pads, to put on your bed, so you can sleep in your bed. I don't know exactly what you need, but something you won't stick to. Can you sleep on your side so you're not lying on your bottom? Will Robert put Neosporin on you? Please take care of you.

Well, mom's surgery went well. She only broke some of the rules.
She is very unhappy with her numb arm from the nerve block in the heavy big brace above the elbow, so I've had to lecture her every 15 minutes to stop flinging it around. Once the nerve block wears off, she's going to feel everything she's doing to it, I think based on my experience. I wish there was a better way to coax patients into compliance, lol, good thing I never tried to be a nurse!

Oh man. When I had my rotator cuff surgery, I was so stupid and out of my mind afterward. My DH and MIL kept telling me not to use that arm, but I was drugged and feeling no pain, so I decided I needed to do laundry, so I was hauling baskets around and carrying on like always even with that big old brace on.. sure felt it after the block wore off though! Maybe my DH shoulda snatched that basket from me and told me to sit down and shut up, but he is not forceful like that and I am a very stubborn little witch so ...
