Granny's gone and done it again

Okay, just read further, Boy Sammy. You would be amazed how many people call our Rocki, him. Nope, she's a she. When we rescued the pups the Amish kid told us we had four males and one female. Next day DH lifted one of the boys up and I went 'uh oh' that's not a boy, who is it. The pup's original name was Ox because he was just a little butter ball and the largest pup. DH wanted to keep the name Ox for her and I said no. Can't call a sweet, pretty girl, Ox. She will have a complex. I christened her Roxanne, Rocki for short.

Beautiful! He has a lot of hair to groom!! I assume you keep him out of tall weeds. I was picking weed seeds out of the puppies hair from our nature walk.
Lol, Sammy goes where he wants to but we don't have many weeds where he wants to go. He's a homebody.

Pretty boy....or girl? Hmmmmmm.
Boy.

Glad you figured out she was a girl before your boy dog's figured it out for you😉!!

The funniest thing yet was that morning we had them all to the vet for their first shots and the vet listed her as a him too. Durp.

She was the last to get spayed and the vet told us we were just in the nick of time. She was primed for her first heat. The last thing we wanted was more pups running around.

I can't believe they are 5 years old now. They are finally reaching that level of maturity that red heelers have where they are almost ready to get some common sense and start learning something.

Sammy's 5 now too, and ... same? Maybe? He'll always be a bit ADHD though I think. He's pretty smart and quick to learn, but then he's like, okay, I learned that, now I never have to do it again, right? Dork.

Our local vets don't take new patients. And the next closest ones had far off dates available so by the time I took Betty in, she was in her first heat. I took the option to pay extra rather then being her home intact. Butchy Boy was a little demon
