Granny's gone and done it again

When it rains it poures. That's when we start counting our blessings. We find more good than..oh..ohs. 😄
Lol, my late sister, the family philosopher, used to say when it rains it sh...s. But I'm not worried, the Lord will provide! He always has and always will. Showers of blessings!

Explain the prolia. Doctor wanted me to do something through IV 2 years ago, forgot the name but remember reading up on it. I didn't want to do it because of side effects.
Prolia isn't IV, it's subcutaneous. It's used for osteoporosis and since I couldn't take any of the oral meds, Fosamax, etc, my doctor recommended it. It was almost 2 years of hell. Fatigue, sleepiness, severe joint pain in joints that had osteo damage (read somewhere that it was because the Prolia was regrowing bone there) immune system suppression, brain fog...the list was long. My last bone scan showed improvement but I was still a 'risk factor' for osteo as I have osteopenia (bone thinning) Doc wanted me back on the Prolia and I flat out said no. He was worried about me doing weight bearing exercise. When I told him I was carrying 2-20 pound water jugs for my chickens 300 feet up an incline AND helping DH harvest all the wood we burn he just said wow I was doing a farmer workout and carry on.

The joint pain, mainly in my left knee, lasted for two years after I stopped taking the Prolia. The pain that kept on giving. If it is recommended to you, do your own research. DON'T believe the drug manufacturer. Read patient experiences with it and decide yourself. More have problems than don't. But a broken hip potential is something to take seriously also which is why I did do a round of it. But I won't do it again.

Of course you have one of those Missouri money trees out back don't you? We are supposed to have one on our 29 acres but so far we haven't found it.

When my mom passed I was broke. She was broke. All of her savings went to her end of life medical care. When I got the estimate for her grave site to be opened and closed, I sighed and started rummaging through my pockets. My cousin who was with me, fearing for what little sanity I had left at that time, asked me what I was looking for and I told her, rocks to squeeze money out of so I could pay the cemetery.

But things worked out so yep, I agree with you 100% Back to the Have Faith and Wait, motto. God will provide.
