Granny's gone and done it again

I have gotten a flu shot every year since about 1998 when I was a live-in caregiver for an elderly amputee and I got it to protect him. Other than that one year I already mentioned, I have not had the flu since. I get the covid shot (I'm due!), and I've had the pneumonia and shingrix vaccines. I'm old and decrepit, I can't afford to get sick and die. I'm still raising kids and my DH can't cook, lol. If I die, he's eating cereal 3x/day for the rest of his life and that's just cruel.

Oh, that reminds me... I found this cute picture of us I haven't seen in years. But it's so tiny, I blame FB.
It's rare for me to allow pictures because I have some weird issue about the permanence of them. But I guess because I had my face painted (we were at Disney) it felt like enough of a disguise 😋

Yikes! It sounds like they did something wrong in your first surgery!

Is that bile duct on the way to the gall bladder or is it to the stomach? Mom had her gall bladder out a long time ago, and her mother before her, so she always warned me about it, but so far so good. I tell her it's because I don't eat greasy Australian Meat Pies and Sausage Rolls... she just snorts at me.
I had my gall bladder out in 2000 but this common bile duct is still in there somewhere. I'm not sure exactly what all it connects to now. I never ate greasy foods either so go figure. Ate pork as a child but quit when I was 21. Don't eat fries or ice cream, no fatty foods, etc. Genetically predisposed to high cholesterol and diabetes though. But I've eaten healthy for 50 years.

Yeah somehow that dye didn't drain like it was supposed to. 🤷‍♀️

Oh no, poor guy, I hope he realizes how essential you are!

The Shingrix vaccine is one our Doctor Sam said not to bother with... that it only makes symptoms a little less severe but is not as good as they tout it to be and I think a lot of people have to pay for it out of pocket.

I've been thinking about getting more vaccines in general, including the pertussis one in case I ever get to hold that cute baby next door. I want to so bad, but I'm also scared to... probably wouldn't be able to hand her back. They'd have to pry my hands off of her with a crow bar. Oops.
