Granny's gone and done it again

Morning everybody. I feel decadent this morning. Went to bed early, asleep by 11, feet didn't hit the floor until 10am. I haven't done that in I don't know how long.

Finally starting to feel like the side effects of the Metronidazole (nasty evil stuff. Take my advice, don't take it) are starting to ebb. Just having hot flashes this morning so hopefully I've seen the worse of it. Unfortunately, Augmentin and Metron. are the SOP treatment for diverticulitis but not for me.

DH and I hiked out to the pasture last night to see if we could see the northern lights. This is what we saw in north central Missouri:

Pretty amazing!

To everyone in the path of Milton, God watch over you and send his angels to spread their wings over you and protect you from harm.

Be safe everyone.

I have a cousin that has let us know she's prepared as well as she can. She's on the East coast. They're expecting high winds and, some flooding.
She just bought this house and finished some renovations on it. I hope she doesn't get too much damage; but she's right there where it will pass then exit into the ocean.

This is something my cousin and her daughter posted. She's the one I told you was in Texas. Thought she might stay! But like I said a while ago, she just bought this home, wants to try and keep water out.

I wish them all the luck. Hope they don't have trouble getting through to the house.

She passed in 05. Guess it has been a while.
All depends how it is set up. But if the recipients (you) are not on welfare it also makes a difference. There are a lot of deciding factors. For Granny- educate yourself before you make any moves. Do a lot of research on your own on Google at the same time. You can also ask questions at the welfare office. Just what ever you do, don't do anything that makes him lose his benefits.
That was the advice the welfare office gave me, whatever you do, don't lose DH's benefits

This is all overwhelming. I need time to think it over I guess. I came across some info that to me is disturbing. The problem finding my surgeon all boils down to this new insurance.First thing they did was take my heart meds away. Refusing to ok Drs orders and who knows what else. they are making everyone 55 and up on Medicaid to take this pathways insurance. It reminds me of cattle being led to the slaughter house. follow the money.

Follow your instincts. You are a smart woman. You are NOT your own boss on government assistance and it feels near impossible to get back on your feet even though that was the program it was first meant to be, a crutch in the time of need but over the years it's become more of a trap
.Sorry for being blunt, but I don't want you getting stuck with something you wish you hadn't done.
All I can say is even lawyers ask each other for advice so they aren't held accountable for giving incorrect advice. And I've gone to the welfare office to disprove advice I got from the lawyer. She was wonderful but there are many gray areas that one office will say it's fine and the next office will deny you coverage.
Don't do anything that In the long run will make it more difficult for you.
If you put the house in his name now, and you continue living with him, you will have to pay rent or help him with the bills. This can get him denied for benefits.
Its hard for me to not share some warnings for you from my experience but this is a public forum. I will say, if things don't feel right to you, don't do it. Think it through.
This isn't the 1990s,80s or 70s.
