She's done for the day. Taking her shower now. She made 2 fruit cakes and a batch of strawberry jam today. I will be smoking two turkey breasts tomorrow for Christmas dinner with the kids. Having that and a spiral slice ham with a cherry glaze.

Wow! That's a lot of meat and sounds delicious too. Are you having a big crowd? I've never had a cherry glaze before.

DH and I are both unvaccinated. He has bad reactions to flu vaccines and the Shingles vaccine and I had myocarditis so no way I'm going to take the risk of having it happen again.

Mr. Larry, How is Iris? Is she taking care or helping care for the doodles while you are sick? She always seems busy.

I carry feed in the cart behind the John Deere and between the two of us we put out feed and give the kids a few treats. They associate the sound of the John Deere with treats. They have us trained well. Now that our numbers are way down it only takes us about an hour to feed and fill water fountains. I stay out with them until they go into their coops for the night. She comes in and gets supper ready when we finish with the feed and water. I kind of overdid it somewhat today just walking to much. Hips bothering me pretty bad. I hope the last hip injection is not wearing off already. The first one lasted for over a year. Different doc did this one. Same clinic just different doc.

Three kinds of oatmeal, chocolate chip and decorated sugar cookies. Thought about Snickerdoodle but decided against it. All my containers are full and so is the freezer.

DH and I have enough cookies to last a few months if we control ourselves. Somehow not baking cookies seems un-Christmassy and I once I get rolling I tend to bake till I am tired of it then quit.

Anyone have a recipe for soft molasses cookies? I can’t find my mothers

Ladies, please don't get upset or argue about this. That I hate to hear. Have you ever heard there's more than one way to skin a cat? I will talk to both and I can tell when Im hearing the right thing. I really appreciate the BOTH of you for being helpful and worrying about me.

I think both people have good advice. I have had dr change the diagnosis code so my insurance would pay. Medicare is a whole nother ball of wax.

I've already had shingles twice so I will not get a vaccine for that. I've never had a reaction to anything but sulfa and penicillin.

I wouldn't risk it either. I cancelled my appointment with my cardiologist when I found out I was contagious. Glad I did because when I did they thanked me because one of the staff is taking chemo.

Mom made them but IDK if I can find it. They were more like cakes. Now whatever Twist calls his cookies they are delicious!
