Hi all, I had a good day today. The first one in a very long time. Pain was managed for the most part. (back now) Good food and good company. Nancy and I both had a nice "home cooked" meal from Bob Evens and it was under $20. for everything. I had cubed steak, real mashed potatoes, green beans and banana bread. I ate every bite. We then went to goodwill and I actually bought something. lol 2 big soup bowls like the 3 I have already and they get used a lot. I had a taste for cake and Nancy went in Krogers and paid $13. for half a cake!! Vanilla bean but Wow! I wouldn't of paid that. It is good.. I wish y'all had a piece ..

We are both still eating ice cream cake! Love it!

I did not write this - but WOW does it speak to my heart!!! Worth the read.

Barely the day started and... it's already six in the evening.
Barely arrived on Monday and it's already Friday.
... and the month is already over.
... and the year is almost over.
... and already 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed.
... and we realize that we lost our parents, friends.
and we realize it's too late to go back...
So... Let's try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time...
Let's keep looking for activities that we like...
Let's put some color in our grey...
Let's smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts.

We are no longer at the age where we can afford to postpone what needs to be done right away.
