We are being advised of a Winter Storm Watch for Sunday night to Monday morning. Freezing rain. Looks like our first winter weather might be an ice storm. And I'm afraid to use the wood stove until the chimney gets cleaned on the 14th ....

DH used to collect antique radios so I'm going through them, either selling as non working collectible or for parts. Right now I'm cleaning a 1915 cylinder phonograph. It's a lot of work

That stinks! I got DH an Amazon credit card. They were running a special that you get$200 if you sign up and are approved. I read a lot of people didn't get approved. So I got a propane heater, tanks, hose, and stove fan. I thought it was a good deal! I only use credit cards for regular bills and then pay it off at the bank. It helps grow credit.
I wanted to get it set up before the cold hits but didn't get it done. I'm sure we will have plenty more cold weather

We have to brace for 6 straight nights of well below freezing nights starting Monday. 23° is the ice age for us.

I remember the day I would have said yay. Now... I've got lots of food, tea, got an oil delivery and am planning on doing indoor things till the cold snap is over

Help came and we got the rows of posts in the vineyard all driven. Then all the 8' T Posts got pulled out of the ground ready to drive in a new place where pole beans will be planted. We are done for the day. No nap this morning so I am ready to start one now. I can sneak one in before it's time to check coops for feed and water.
