Granny's gone and done it again

Larry, are those grow lights expensive? I thought about one just for my house plants but I would have to string an extension cord to it in the bathroom.
All depends on the area you need to cover. Give me the table dimensions and I will see what I can turn up. Do you have a Lowes or Home Depot any where close to you?

You know, we are in the same situation here. All our kids and grands live in other states. There is no one here to call for help. It's just the two of us. Yes, we have neighbors and yes, we have a few friends, but none so close that I feel I can ask for favors. It's a tough situation. But, if I were facing the same thing you are, I would ask one of those neighbors or friends. I would ask them all until I found someone. I'm sure someone would step up.

You know, you would think that going to church would mean you would have a "family" close by, but our church is 45 minutes away. We are in a very rural area. So, we have to figure things out for ourselves. I'm not sure what I would do if Mike were as sick as Tom.

So, my heart goes out to you, and you are in my prayers. Just want you to know that.

Sorry, if I get put in BYC jail for mentioning my faith and prayer. Se La Vie.
One reason I'm glad I don't live in a rural area. Too many things going on with my health now. I used to want to live out in the country here. Glad I don't now.
Feeling bad for a daughter tonight. Her husband came by to pick up a recliner I gave them. He told me they just found out that his mother has stage 4 breast cancer. That it's already spread outside that area. I didn't dare ask if she had been getting mamo's. Best thing we can do, not always able to detect, but more often than not.

Sorry to hear about your son in law's mother. Very sad indeed.

As for living in a rural area, it was a dream for both of us for all our lives, so when we retired we bought this place. We do love it here, but I keep trying to gently persuade DH to consider moving closer to the medical facilities. I have continual cancer screenings and he has continual heart screenings. Makes sense to be closer. But here we are. He loves it here. Not sure we will ever move. :idunno

Those look great! You have a much larger greenhouse than mine and much more ambition than I do!!! :bow
I don't have the greenhouse built yet. We have an add on room for a sun room that has its on AC and Heating system. We use it for plants and did use it for brooding chicks. Now we also use it for kennels for taking care of hurt or ill birds. These two lights will illuminate a half sheet of plywood topped table the long way. All we need for starting plants as they go from tray to the garden. At least most of them will.
