After 4 months, we finally got rid of DH itchy rash on his back and legs The first 2 months used otc medication. The next month the Dr gave steroids cream. Then he sent him to the dermatologist. The itch drove him crazy. The dermatologist said to use peroxide wash and antibiotic cream. Till the month was up he had a second rash on top of the first one and bruises along the spine. Derm called it folliculitis. He was waking me up in the middle of the night with fire engine red skin. The dermatologist wasnt returning my messages. The PCP called the Derm to get the results of the visit. And the Derm changed him back to the steroid cream that hadn't helped:he

I sent pictures to the GI to see if it's from a low immune system. He said it's the wrong diagnosis. He said it looks like hypersensitive reaction, Use liquid Claritin. I never knew Claritin came in liquid:idunno. I didn't get him the pills because they can't be chopped and he chokes on them. Benadryl topical spray didn't work. It took about a week to clear up and he can even swallow better. For 4 months he scratched and scratched and scratched..
