The chicken watering fountains will be frozen hard in the morning. Down to 31° already.

That's one of the things I didn't like. I finally bought the ones that warm up.

I made my own with cookie tins and light bulbs. Then they stopped making the bulbs that heat up except for one kind I don't remember what kind it was.

This Larry. Stay safe. When's the last time you had to deal with snow? I bet your grocery stores are packed and out of bread and milk. lol

4 years ago we had lots of ice and snow in TN and several years before the. Not like NW MO but bad enough we got our fill of it.

I have good lined boots to take on what ever is thrown at us.

Can you bring them in the house overnight and take them back out in the morning? They don't drink at night anyway. . .

We bring the feeders in and put them in the well house (to foil varmints) but the water buckets are electric. They don't freeze.
