Granny's gone and done it again

I'm back. I ruined about seven corn tortillas before I figured out what works. They were sticking to my hands so as I put them on the skillet they wouldn't lay flat. Finally I decided to transfer them from the plastic-lined tortilla press to a sheet of parchment paper first, and drop them from there onto the hot skillet. Hooray, success! :yesss: Still have to fry them to make tostadas for dinner. Whew, need to sit down a few minutes first!

Our neighbors have a Spanish heritage. They don't eat bread but make their own flour tortillas. Stood one day and watched two of their daughters making them. It really is an art so my hat off to you even trying to make corn tortillas.

I think corn tortillas are much easier than flour, but I do want to try to make the flour ones one day.

Well 5 more layers and I will be out checking on layers. Anyone have recipes for use of frozen eggs?

l think they are going to get scrambled and given back to the chickens for treats. Only to the hens that are laying.
9xs out of 10 the eggs will have a crack in them that maybe we cant even see. Bacteria will enter those cracks and can make you sick. It's not worth the risk IMO. I did however cook them well done and serve them back to the chickens.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the encouragement :hugs It really helps to have the right equipment! I still have three more to fry in the hot grease but here are six of them. I did have to add a little more masa to get them the right texture, thanks Valerie! I've made flour ones before too but it will be SOOO much easier now with this tortilla press!

Oops, forgot to add pic.
