Granny's gone and done it again

My GC wants to go out NOW, at 9 pm to meet a guy who lives 45 minutes away she's only met on line. I said, have him come here so we can meet him first. She said he has a bad tire. But the truth is she does not want him to meet us first. She said she's not 16 any more, she's 23 and "that's not how it's done any more." And I'm thinking, I don't know where this guy lives and he could be an axe murderer!

Am I out of line to want to meet him first? I know I can't make her bring him here, but ...? What do you all think?
It is perfectly reasonable for you to want to meet him first.
When I was ready to date my now wife I talked to her Dad first and asked him if he’s okay with it. He said yes and blessed me for it.

Some clouds nestled over the top of one peak.
My view from the back door when I let the dogs out this morning.

We had the mobile mechanic out last week and he found there was NO oil in our car. No leaks, it just came out the drain plug, so he was trying to blame the person who tightened it... but that was me. And I set the ratchet thingy to the right number and checked it 3 times because I'm OCD. I figured out it was the crush washer, I used just whatever the autoparts store sold cheap that time, and it didn't have much crush to it (thin).
So apparently I've been driving around for quite some time with no oil?? The dipstick is impossible to read 😅
Mechanic said, "Good thing you didn't do any long trips" and he was surprised it hadn't seized up, but since it didn't he thinks there won't be any repercussions.
And I think it was God who encouraged me to shell out the $14 for a whole pack of good crush washers on Amzn before we had him come out. I really didn't want to pay that for some little aluminum discs. Apparently they are important though.

Will probably have the same guy out in a few weeks to do the brakes. It's nice having mobile mechanic service... cheaper, and I get to buy the parts so I know what's going on the car. If I wasn't so lazy I'd be doing everything myself, but just not really feeling the energy for all of that, plus he's really fast and doesn't have to study the manual and Youtube for days before each little task.
A real mechanic.

He's not feeling the best. Nurse said the holes were closed up on him but Im pretty sure I see it open. He's eating good. Too much sugar though. Vitals are all good. Mentally not the best. He wont tell it but he is depressed too
Scott got depressed when he..realized.. the diagnosis was..True.
