GC made smothered burritos for dinner. She also cleaned the hen house. Such a good girl. I'm so blessed to have her. She did DH's laundry but I folded most of it. Now she is cleaning the kitchen. I'm going to try to wash eggs later. We'll see if I can stand long enough to get 'er done.

Going to grab a glass of tea and watch for chickens to fill their coops so I can lock them up for the night. They get out in the early after noon now. Being predator cautious about early morning raids by a fox.

Good evening. Evening chores done. I waiting unit it is almost dark so I can close coops with out a long stick trying to herd a bunch of self centered hens into their coops.

We got 15 eggs today. I need 20 more blue eggs to load an incubator. The pullets are still young but are laying large eggs. Their genetics calls for medium to large eggs as hens so I feel good about hatching some out now. I'm hatching this first set from eggs before worming and another set with eggs collected while worming.

I got 15 eggs today, too! 7 blue, 7 brown, 1 olive and 1 chocolate.
Wait that's not right.

7 blue, 6 brown, 1 olive, 1 chocolate. And I washed 8 dozen myself, with DH and GC standing by.

What breeds? I've got easter Eggers and barred tovks but would like some chocolate eggs
