Granny's gone and done it again

Hello all, they gave DH a lot of potassium IV yesterday, built up his electrolytes. He had tachycardia when admitted. His thinking is less confused. He got excellent care and I made sure to thank everyone I met. He had to have is IV port moved because the potassium burned him. The lady even autographed the tape😄.
I had let them know he was assaulted by a patient because ever since then he's been on the defensive in the hospital. It makes it difficult for him and the care takers both. And I can't relax. I would rather they give him a little medicine to calm him down so everyone has a better experience. They were wonderful!
He came home today, the vacuum tube still in him. He will have the tube for 3 weeks and then they will do a CT scan. They briefed me how to do his wounds care, care for the tube. So Lord willing, the third attempt will be successful and then he won't need surgery. That is the goal.
Thank you for all the prayers!
I pray for all you guys to because I know everyone is having there own share of struggles.

My two broody hens are still sitting side by side in a corner of the brooder like they are expecting something exciting to happen, although they each hatched a chick. In other words, they are still broody! While their chicks roam around the brooder pretty much unattended! I texted their breeder and she said they are bad mommies! Not sure what to do, we already pulled them out of gen pop, the silly birds. Advice? Anyone???
You mentioned in a later post that the chicks were under their mamas. As long as they do that they’ll be fine.

:hugs Wow, farms, what an ordeal! Glad he got to come home. Yes potassium IV does burn, I hated it! Got it in my hand once during Covid. Can he eat potatoes, bananas, or even take a supplement? ANYTHING to keep from having the IV. Glad he's home, that must be such a relief for both of you. Prayers will certainly continue. Psalm 103, esp for him and also for you. Praise is healing and comforting.

@SourRoses Had to smile thinking of you driving with chick in your bra. Glad you've found him a good home with kids his own size. What tales it will tell in chickie kindergarten! "So there we were, driiving down the road at like 40 mph .. what? No, it wasn't a matchbox car, listen to what I'm tellin' ya! It was a REAL car like the hoomans drive. I was in the driver's seat and ... yah, the driver's seat, with the steerin' wheel and everything!!"

Sorry, I don't know why this chick talks like he's in the Bronx. Maybe he's in the Mafia. Forgettaboutit.

He was hardly eating since his surgery. He's eating again now. Hes eating well now. It's distressing when you can't get someone to eat and drink.

There was only one person checking in at the ER because the helicopter had just brought someone in. I couldn't get him out of the car anymore so they got a nurse out to help me. Waiting at the check out, he just hung over the side of the wheel chair moaning so 2 nurses came over and took him right to triage and from there to a bed.
Once he was on morphine and stabilized he asked me if this is what it feels like if you are dying. I told him no, it's what it feels like when you stop eating and drinking.
I noticed the first symptoms every time the abcess comes back is he can't eat and drink. He's down to 123 pounds and has absolutely no room to lose any more weight
