There are home health agencies that offer housekeeping as well as medical services. Insurance will pay for some of it.

@microchick, I had a lot of pain with mine for the whole year but it was my own stupid fault. They gave me a nerve block and when I came home from the hospital I jumped right up and started doing laundry, carrying baskets around, etc. DH, GC and MIL all urging me NOT to do that but I was obsessed, out of my mind and could not understand why they were telling me this. Felt it the next day for sure though. Maybe make yourself signs around the house saying NO! and NO! Anywhere you might try to do things you shouldn't, lol.


Aw, Cap! So sorry to hear this. Hope you heal quickly. If life was fair you'd develop an immunity to this s#!t. Life is not fair!

Oh, that is wild! Does sound like something I would do though. Have to admit, I've had so much pain the last year with this that I just told my husband that I'm not doing anything that takes two hands until I get the okay from the surgeon. I plan to have the shortest recovery on record for rotator cuff repair. Plus DH is going to sit on me if I step out of line or out of my big comfy rocking chair and try to do something I shouldn't. I've spent the past two days getting meals ready and in the freezer so DH doesn't have to figure out what to make and yesterday I got two pens cleaned out for the chickens. He went out with me last night to help feed so he knew how I do it and he was a champ.

Today will be a nonstop sprint finishing things up. Have to be at the hospital at 7:30AM in the morning. At this point in time it's like, fix the danged shoulder so I can get back to normal. Now I know why the good Lord gave us two arms. It's so we will have one to fall back on and use when we do something stupid and hurt one of them.

Good morning to you too. The rain has passed and the sun is shining here today. Supposed to get into the 80's this afternoon. Right now I'm getting my second cup of coffee and trying to decide if I want to accomplish anything today or just sit and play games on the computer. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions....

Right now I'm getting my second cup of coffee and trying to decide if I want to accomplish anything today or just sit and play games on the computer. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions....

Morning, all! I woke up cold this morning too. I don't know what the thermostat was set on but the actual temp was 68! Brrr! I set it back up to 72. Good thing I sleep under a heated throw and now have Sammy to keep me toasty.

I'm getting some sales packed to go out in tomorrow's mail. I'm hoping to finish cleaning the living room today. Tomorrow is back to get another entyvio infusion for me. I'm ordering some sub flooring and tiles to get the kitchen floor finished. I'm looking for a call from DH GI to help us better understand his surgery which is scheduled for Thursday. He will be in the hospital for a week and I hope to have the house clean till he comes home. He will have home wound care for an undetermined amount of months. Twice a week .
The grass is growing fast but it's raining. A good excuse to more a different day!
I got myself a tiny pill to help me start moving again.

These little dogs throw good heat in the room. Im sitting here with a sweater on and a blanket.
Kevin just left. His weed whip didn't take the grass down very far but he thinks enough to mow it.
