Granny's gone and done it again

Kiddo will do fine,@BigBlueHen53. I was far more focused in college. Made the deans list every semester while a C student in High School. Just hated high school to pieces.

DH had to get his drivers license today. Here the give you a printed copy of your proof of license then they mail your new license to you. He asked me what I thought of his 'mug shot' and I had to hesitate. My hubby is a handsome man but this pic was atrocious. All I could blurt out was from the nose down it was great but what's with the Uncle Fester eyes? He hadn't seen the print out yet. took it from me and gasped, Oh My God I've got Uncle Fester eyes! That's what they meant when they said the 'Real' pic would look a lot better. In the mean time he has to deal with looking like a member of the Addams family.

"Wound care is a nursing skill that I really learned to enjoy. There is a real challenge and a real thrill when you mark a ghastly wound healed."

Working on my son sure was a big help in that area when I worked in the nursing home, for sure.
Sounds like you're feeling better. Doing some chores. Good for you. :)
Yep. sleeping better. and as long as I don't get too rambunctious and don't forget my pain medicine the discomfort is manageable.

Only 4 more weeks in the pillow sling...:celebrate:wee

Thanks, Mc, I hope you're right. YS def did not apply himself in HS, took it as a lark. Bright kid, could EASILY have had a 4.0 GPA but had 3.3 bc too many assignments not turned in. Since learning comes so easily to him, why bother, right? And I can only push or encourage, threaten or otherwise motivate so much, right? Oh well. He got a partial scholarship to the U of his choice when others who worked harder got 100% or more. So now he's not sure what he's going to do. Aggravating.

My bibis have moved into the hen house and made themselves at home! :celebrate Moved up to the roost, too. And, uh ... one of them appears to be a cockerel. I thought so from hatch day!

I tested out high on my ACTs. Definitely could have done the same but didn't apply myself either. In college I found that I could study subjects focal to my major. When I tried to take easy courses they wouldn't let me. My ACTs said I'd be bored. Suddenly I realized that the problem in HS was that I was never challenged.

I was bored.

Don't worry. He'll figure it out.
