Granny's gone and done it again

Even if they chew them all the way? Darn. 😭
You get mixed messages about what is easy to digest and what isn't. Some veterinarian articles say pig ears are easily digestible but you shouldn't feed them raw because of the risk of salmonella?

So many of us have real small dogs and I think they have to be viewed differently then big dogs.

Sometimes I wonder what parts of animals wolves ate. Again, wolves are larger then my puppies. BUT raw meat is also supposedly easier to digest then cooked. AND our dogs have been genetically modified from the wild wolves. But it's an interesting thought

So far I have managed to burn a hole in my blanket, poured coffee on my keyboard and people will be here soon. 40 mins.
Happy Thursday GIF

Where wouldd Average Joe get raw pig ears?

Seems little dogs would be less likely to chew off chunks big enough to be hazardous to them. But then I guess a little chunk could be hazardous to a little dog...

i think they ate everything including the bones, but they ate it fresh and/or frozen, not artificially dehydrated.

Interesting indeed.

I can get roasted pig ears without additives at the farmers market. The ones at Walmart have all kinds of things added. The ones at the farmers market are roasted to a crunch. I still limit them. Cause they should eat dog food to and they have tiny belly's. The last 2 weeks are so rainy and Betty wants to chew my shoes since she can't go outside and chew on sticks. I try to look for a healthy substitute to shoe strings, shoe eyelets and tree branches.

My Sammy and Jenny never chewed a stick, or anything really, until Ryder came into their lives and showed them the wealth of goodies they were living in, in the middle of a forest. It's like kids living in a candy store now! Jenny always loved finding socks to carry around but she wasn't destructive. You wouldn't believe what my living room floor looks like now. :barnie
