Granny's gone and done it again

Blue, my friend before doing Prolia, read about the side effects. I took it for 2 years. my latest Dexiscan showed improvement but my doc wanted me to continue Prolia since I wasn't showing osteoporosis but I was showing bone thinning, I told him I always took his advice but in a word, NO I would not continue Prolia. The side effects were wrecking my quality of life.

DH asked my Ortho how he thought my MRI looked osteo wise and he said outside of a few bone spurs, not bad. Some arthritis but I knew that.

I plan to take all my MRIs in when I see him again and ask him what more can I do to strengthen my bones.

Seriously guys who do you trust? Makes me wonder how deep in Big Pharma pockets are our doctors anyway?
MC, how were the side effects ruining your quality of life? Do you want to go to pm?

They may have figured out what's happening with my grandson. They had to take him to the ER last night because he developed a goose egg sized red spot on his arm, along with all the other red spots all over him. This doctor that tended to him decided that it's a rare reaction to the antacid medicine he takes regularly. The condition is called Erythema multiform. So she didn't give him the antacid medicine today and he's already some better. I hope they can figure out something for the acid problem.
Oh wow, Pert! Well ... glad his skin is better anyway! But ... here's hoping they figure out the acid tummy thing! Poor little guy! :fl:fl:fl

Eh....3.5 weeks left in the pillow sling. Really not doing too bad. My frustration level is off the chart, though. I'm trying to do as much as I can with my limited range of motion in my right hand and forearm and my shoulder is letting me know that it isn't approving of that idea. The swelling is down though and the bruising under my arm is fading. Today I was able to gently rub my shoulder for the first time so I guess all in all I'm slowly doing better I just want to feel better NOW dang it!

How about you? How are you feeling?
Still pretty miserable. Feeling nauseated a lot. Didn't buy anything for lunch because ick. Have not eaten much today. Anyway, at least I can sleep.
The neurologist called and said the DNA test for Alzheimers was worse than what I was previously told. I have 1 copy, if I had 2 copies it would be better. Not saying I will get it, but a higher risk. Super...not.

Maybe Tums?

Possible Causes:
  • Pityriasis Rosea:
    .Opens in new tab
This harmless skin condition often starts with a single, larger patch (the "herald patch") on the chest, back, or abdomen, which is then followed by smaller spots spreading across the torso, according to KidsHealth.

  • Erythema Multiforme:
    .Opens in new tab
This condition, often triggered by an infection or medication, can cause target-shaped lesions (a dark red center surrounded by a lighter ring), and may start on the hands or feet before spreading to other parts of the body.

  • Allergic Reaction:
    .Opens in new tab
A reaction to an allergen (like poison ivy, sumac, or oak, or certain foods) can cause a rash, which might initially appear as raised, itchy spots, and in severe cases, can lead to larger blisters, according to WebMD.

  • My daughter had the first one. I thought it sounded familiar.
