Granny's gone and done it again

Not a good day.
Opened my eyes and yelled in pain from my right eye. I could have sworn that the lid took some skin from my eyeball when it opened. They got me into the other dr there. He said my eye is still swollen and yes, having the lid stuck did some damage to the retina. The other Dr had put plugs in my tear ducts. This dr. went ahead and took them out. I did tell him that the ache I was experiencing was less. He still said to stop the drops/antibiotic anyway. He told me to scrinch tight and blink often because my eye is very dry. Gave me some drops to put in every hr. I should blink often for a while. The white of my eye had dimples in it, the blue has jagged ridges now from what happened this morning. I can buy eye drops PF otc.
Hope this works.
On my way home, my car dies at a stop light. About a year and a half ago it died..Just a battery because I don't drive it much. It's a 2020, only 5,800 something on it.
I thought it was doing a feature that the car has, but I had that turned off...where the care will idle low at a stop, then kick in when you step on the gas. No. It had died. Had to put in park to start. Thank goodness it did. Last time there was no starting it. Dead battery. Well, next light, did it again. This time when I put it in park..it started! I didn't push the button to start it! Got into my garage, it dies, put it in park, it starts. What the hey?
Kids are leaving next Tuesday for vacation, South Dakota. They will be gone a week. I want my car! I know Austin would let me drive his..tiny..little..Honda. I hope this will be an easy fast fix like last time. They came and picked it up..hauled it. No way we're we going to chance driving it and it dieing on the freeway.
I need some prayers. Life can be a bit discouraging at times can't it? So many here in Grannyland with their own problems. You all handle it so well. Appreciate being able to come on and vent..
And to write a book. 😛

I had my C spine fused. Neck. It was a hard surgery for sure, harder than the shoulder, but, I can now move my neck and the arm that was going numb because of the blown discs around just fine.
Just reread this. Didn't have my whole C fused. Just in a couple of places. Had a couple of huge blown discs.

TOO MUCH salt is not good. While I was staying with my twin brother a few years back, he was on a completely salt-free diet. He started having some health issues, I don't remember what all, but weakness was one. I got him to put a little salt in his diet and he perked right up. No extremes! Moderation in all things. Well. In most things.

Like I said if you don’t eat processed food, you need to add lots of good mineral salt to your food

You don’t drive it enough to keep the battery charged

You will get a lot back. I was in my 60's. I have it all back and mine was really bad.
I sure hope so, Cynthia.

Today I read my surgical report. In between saying "ouch no wonder I had so much pain" I was saying "thank God for general anesthesia".

Cool rainy day here today. Warmer weather supposed to be back starting tomorrow. I won't complain. I need to go out and stare at all the weeds in my flower gardens. I'm going to be very busy when I get my right arm back.

@Cynthia12 :hugs prayers, and fingers crossed for you.

My dad had one of the first double laminectomies and spinal fusions done in central IL back in the late 50s. He lived in pain for the rest of his life. I'm scared spitless of spinal surgery. I'd have to have no other options left to agree to it. I know, the art has progressed and improved but it is still scary to me.

My Dad had 2 ruptured disc surgeries but it was before I went to school. I know he wore a support always. Someone else did the farming till my oldest brother graduated school (8th grade). Then Dad farmed again a couple years before he died. I never got to know my Dad as an adult so I know very little about his back problems
