It is prepatellar bursitis. I call it good news because it didn't have an infection and no blood clots in the deep vein. A small clot closer to the skin but that will go away with heat. The knee cap bursitis is full of fluid so they put an ace bandage on it and are sending me to the orthopedist to remove the fluid. I'm not supposed to be taking anti inflammatory meds because of the Crohn's and kidney disease.
I first noticed it on Tuesday but it didn't hurt, I didn't remember any injuries and was trying to be careful what I do. Yesterday it turned red and blue and green , and swelled up worse and it hurt.
Yesterday I was trying to do like @bigbluehen and stay off my leg. I'm actually supposed to keep on using it light duty. By not using it, my knee got stiff and painful
They checked for tick bites but those results weren't back
