I'm at stage 3B. Stage 5 is needing a transplant. Good news is, prevention can keep you from ever needing a transplant. Have to give up some good food

We have a window air conditioner in the den with 2 fans circulating it. We don't have the air conditioner running all the time though.
The bed room has a fan in each window and a fan in the middle of the room circulating it over the bed.

I don't. Most of the time I'm pretty good with diet and exercise. I eat very healthy but the problem is some of the healthy food has to be avoided. Bananas, milk, oranges have to much potassium. I wanted a cantaloupe but decided to go with watermelon. There are a lot of good food with potassium

Yes, stage 5 needs dialysis. They didn't catch mine till stage 3. If the Dr would have diagnosed it sooner and stopped the offending medication, my kidneys could have had a chance to heal. I did not have a good Dr at the time

I'm so sorry. I wish you did not have to suffer with this. Espcially when your DH needs so nuch care, too.
