What’s everyone up to!?

I put 8 pints of pepper in the freezer and am working on peeling the tomatoes to process. About 4 I'll go let the chickens out of their coops so they can free range until dark. I'll check feed and water while I'm out there. It's been a productive day. I'm glad you got to talk to the man. Hope you feel better.

I finally talked to him LOL I was in here a while

But we didn’t call anyone. He just sent an email to my team. I asked him if he thought I needed to call anyone and he said he thought an email should be sufficient and one of the team members in particular is usually pretty good about checking her emails/getting back pretty much as soon as they come in LOL so yeah. That’s good.

Talked to my therapist via zoom. Then went and pickup my azure standard order. Then bought my DH and I burritos for lunch. They were not that great. 13 dollars a piece for the burritos.

Yeah but I also told them I’m good now/not thinking some stuff anymore which was technically true at the time but I should have told them more cause now I’m not again LOL but whatever. I’m fine.

I'm so sad!
My grandson in Houston is on probation. I had to write a letter to his PO asking permission for him to come visit. I was sure he'd get permission. But.... sadly ... he did not. So not only are my plans for this wonderful visit, and my heart, shattered, but I am also out $277 for his plane ticket. Which is non-refundable. And I think also non-transferable. Which, if it were not, I would have his mom, my daughter, use. WHY did I buy the ticket before getting permission? Because I didn't know, that's why! I didn't know he was on probation. I didn't know he needed permission till after the fact. And now I'm crushed.

Blue, that sux. So sorry things went south for your visit but just take a deep breath, tell yourself 'crap happens' and look ahead. You are facing a big surgery and need to have a 'positive' state of mind for it. Trust me, it helps. There will be other visits ahead for you and your GC. Think about those.

Frankly, I'd try calling the airline you bought the ticket through and try sobbing your heart out to them, talk about surgery upcoming, GC's hardships, sob some more. Tell them what wonderful things that you have heard about them being so kind to their customers....did I mention sobbing? They just might maybe possibly cut a deal with you...maybe 50% refund?

I'd sure try.

Not much going on here today. Hot 89 degrees outside. I managed to get a tarp up for the bantams. I've had them in a small pen and run that is really crowded for them so I herded them into the main run, rounded up the three big bodied roosters and tossed them in the bantams old pen, then got a tarp up and opened the pop door up and let chaos occur. I dunno, it's just so comical to watch hen's having 'witch' fights with one another. I had a tiny bantam hen who wasn't doing well. Brought her in after I suspected that she was being bullied and not being allowed to eat. Dosed her with worm medicine, then antibiotics every other day. She has perked up and her color is better. Don't think she is out of the woods but I won't be able to bring her back into the flock so I brought my much loved little crooked winged SDW bantam rooster in with her. He was thrilled, she had been his company when he was sick last December.

Other than playing musical chickens, I'm squeezing in my exercise routines. I'm going to have to tell them to make a list for me which ones I really need to do at home because I'm spending a good 1.5 to 2 hours doing exercises besides trying to do my usual routine inside and outside. I am teetering on being exhausted and frustrated because while I'm progressing I can see I still have a long way to go....

Dedication to rehab does have it's price.......

OMG

This was before noon. I really like my therapist. I didn’t think I would like doing it on zoom but it seems to work. Not sure how many visits I get and the copay is 30 bucks.
