Granny's gone and done it again

My daughter, her husband and toddler are visiting some of his family in Mi. right now. They drove up from Texas. They rented a lake house on the east arm of the Grand Traverse bay just a few miles north of Elk Rapids. Sure is a lot of bodies of water in that region.
I've been up to Traverse a couple of times. I'm just an hour ish north of Grand Rapids.

I don't like the big city either. Give me my woods anytime.
👍🏼 I grew up in Denver. I'll never go back. My traveling days are pretty much behind me. But I may fly out to Farmington NM this fall to see my best friend and visit with my son. I haven't done any traveling in about 10 years.

Pa and I moved from Central Florida to Detroit in December 1964. Talk about culture shock! I had never seen snow and that winter was one for the record books. We lived in Warren and Royal Oak for 7 years before moving back south.
Wow! Must have been like that for my parents when they moved from Phoenix to somewhere in OK in 1954 after my Dad's heat stroke when he nearly died. I've seen pics of the blizzard that year (my brother and I were babies), it looks like the snow was well over a foot deep.

I also lived in Fl. Cap and I lived in the same place but different years
