Ah you're right. Herons are blue, egrets are white.Twas a deer. The tree I’ll need to check - we just had to have it chopped down since it fell on the roof during a windstorm.
I’m Oregon blueheron or egret, I’m not sure.
MC? Twarn't me, Blue Girl! It be Prostar who had the visitor. We get Sandhill cranes up here in our ponds on occasions but nothing that pretty.I was up early (7 a.m.ish), just got busy and didn't come on here to howfy at everybody. So far I have paid my credit card bill, boiled eggs and made egg salad for dinner and put my laundry in. Gave GC a quick (5-min.) lesson to get Ryder under control on leash, Come, Sit, Down and quit biting leash and hands like an idiot and pay attention! He is a year old today, this should all be old hat but she has never asked me for help.
MC, it took a bit for me to spot your visitor, I might not have if you had not posted both pics! Amazing he is in velvet already. That is an unusual tree, reminds me a bit of the Navajo willows we have in NM. Great scenery. And ... a heron? Tell me again what state you are in.
