I only wanted two candles.....more than that are just dang depressing at a 'certain' age.
PS! @Cynthia12! I loved the pic of you and your son! Glad you got out to Temple and hope you are feeling at least spiritually recharged if not physically better.....but I'm hoping for the latter also.

CONGRATS, you made it! You, me , Cynthia ... who else?

It suddenly started to rain, to downpour actually, and we realized we had not completely closed up the baby chicks. We had herded them all back into the brooder after letting them out for a bief outing, but we left the top pushed back a bit so they could get some fresh air. Well, one of the hens can fly out any time she wants if the top is open, and can also fly back in. So when GC ran out in the rain to pull the lid shut she saw that sure enough, flying hen was out! I hated to do it, but I had to ask her, "Did you plug in their light?" It's just a regular household bulb, not a heat lamp. But of course, no, she hadn't. So she ran back out to do it. And what should she do about the flying hen? I was afraid if she opened the brooder door, 19 baby chicks would run out ... but she couldn't do nothing! But when she came back she said she had managed to get the hen in the brooder after all.
